The implementation Feasibility of performance management based on the Baldrige’s model in Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 1390

Abstract

Context: Today, the main issue in the organisational analysis is performance, and its improvement is necessary to the measurement and management. Hence, any organization is not conceivable without a performance management system. Objective: The study was conducted as implementation of performance management based on the Baldrige's model that in the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 1390. The purpose of this research was to understand the views of University staff, both managers and employees about the performance management based on Baldrige's model and Understanding the differences between their views. In this study, we studied differences between the views of the faculties and Home Affairs and also differences between men and women's views. Methods: Research methods was descriptive and the research statistical community including all employed official and contract personnel both managers and employees that were working in different parts of Ferdowsi University In 1390. In this Research, we used stratified random sampling method for selection of employees sample and Simple random sampling method for selection of manager’s sample.  So after using Cochran's formula for determining sample size, identified the 18 areas in University and was selected sample to the proportion of employees in each part. The Data collection instrument in this study was a questionnaire with 35 buoys that was developed based on components of Baldrige's model and also were evaluated its Validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using Descriptive statistics, repeated measure, MANOVA, and Hoc tests. Results: The most important results are: overall, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad has been found appropriate score from Baldrige's model, Namely What about 55 percent of the total score. Also there is no significant difference between the 6 components of performance management from the of manager's perspective and while there is significant difference between the 6 components of performance management from the of staff's perspective. Conclusion: The main result of the establishment of the Baldrige model is harmony and integration of processes in the organization.
