The survey of Personal Financial Literacy of the primary fourth grade students of Mashhad 6 Areas

Context and objective - human acquired abilities are considered the most important source of productivity growth and economic development in recent years. Therefore, this study tries to measure the rate of personal financial literacy (income, money management, costs and expenses, saving and investment) on fourth grade students of primery schools in 6 areas of Mashhad. Method - In this study participated 150 boys and girls students as a sample with useing from random sampling. For assessing the rate of personal financial literacy used from a questionnaire that curriculum specialists and educational psychologists approved its validity. Reliability of the questionnaire was evaluated with using from Cronbach's alpha; the Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0/81 for personal financial literacy questionnaire indicates this tool is reliable. Findings - The results of this study showed that the rate of personal financial literacy of fourth grade students of primery schools in Mashhad is weak and remind necessity of additional attention of authorities and researchers to this field. Also, the rate of personal financial literacy among students by gender, don,t have significant difference; and Finally, no significant difference don,t exist between students knowledge rate of financial concepts than their knowledge rate of financial applications.
